Never give out personal information to telemarketers or unsolicited email senders. When you’re traveling, make a copy of your identification and leave it with someone you can contact in case the originals are lost or stolen.

Before entering bank or credit card information, verify that the website is authentic and safe to use as it could easily be a fake.
